Andrea Elson
Andrea Hope Elson (born in 1961) is an ex- American actress. Elson's acting career started as a child actor and model. However, she is most well-known for playing Alice Tyler in CBS science fiction. Andrea applied for the role of Lynn Tanner of the ALF hit program (1986). Andrea was on the show for a number of years in a variety of TV shows as well as Movies of the week before she decided to leave the entertainment industry. ALF was a challenging time in the life of Andrea Elson, who played Lynn Tanner, the teenage daughter of Kate and Willie. In 2000, people reported that Elson found it difficult to become an individual woman in front of the viewers of sitcoms. When she was in New York City in 1969 Elson grew up in a world of traveling because her father was a travelling salesman. At 10 Andrea had been traveling to New York Chicago San Diego Los Angeles. Andrea was living in San Diego when she met an agent, and the part for which she had auditioned was selected. Fusco was in favor of the idea, and said that "ALF is two hundred and eighty-five years old. He has the ability to drink beer, he's enough. When ALF started to become more popular, NBC said that Fusco was no longer allowed to have ALF drinking alcohol before the children. This was not a good character for a role model. Fusco thought ALF was able to drink alcohol when he was an adult. In 1995, Fusco was discovered to have cancerous lymphoma. The cancer was successfully treated and he remained in full remission for the rest of his existence. In June of 2019, aged 75, he died of the illness at the Lillian Booth Actors Home located in Englewood New Jersey.
