Cartwright gets married to Steve Gullion 1976. Two children are born between the two. Angela Cartwright was born and raised in England as the youngest cousin of actor Veronica Cartwright. Bonanza, which was the very first western to broadcast in full colour, focused on the Cartwrights. A fictional family of cattle ranchers, they were a part of the 1890s and were from Virginia City Nevada. This mining town was a boomtown. The character portrayed was the most junior Cartwright son whose mother (Felicia during the pilot, and then changed later to Marie) widowed and mother of a child who had lost his life to the fever (episode Marie My Love) was of French Creole descent.
